We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, and digital business card content (job title, company, phone number, social links, and photos). We also collect usage data such as digital card views, device information, and referral sources for analytics purposes.
We use your information to provide and improve the CardShare service, including creating and displaying your digital business cards, processing payments, providing analytics, and communicating with you about your account. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
When you create a digital business card, the information on that digital card (name, title, company, contact details, social links) is publicly accessible via your digital card's unique URL. You control what information appears on your digital card and can edit or delete it at any time.
When you use our business card scanning feature, images are sent to OpenAI for analysis. Scanned business card images used for creating new digital cards are processed temporarily and not stored. Scanned contact business card images are stored in your account for reference. We do not use your data to train AI models.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database and cloud storage). All data transmission is encrypted using TLS. We implement row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data.
Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information on our servers. Please refer to Stripe's privacy policy for information about how they handle payment data.
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We track digital card views (timestamp, referrer, device type) to provide analytics to digital card owners. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising trackers.
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal data at any time through your account settings. You can export your contacts and delete your account. If you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently removed.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete a digital card or your account, the associated data is permanently deleted from our systems. Analytics data (digital card views) is retained for the lifetime of the associated digital card.
